When the gasmen came to my town in upstate New York looking to lease land for fracking, our pristine community was suddenly threatened by heavy industry. A once simple way of life was simply no more. I began illustrating the many dangers of the entire fracking production process in my staged photographs using my 30,000 vintage toys and figurines, telling big stories with little figures.​
